Tor 1500:-
a tingling and whatever else they feel they are anointed...good sex makes once feel anointed...just saying.
dunno about that--i just thought sex was a pain in the arse--till i discovered women.
so here is something i've been wondering about.
how do the 'anointed' come to the conclusion that they are chosen?
is it some weird collective delusion of grandeur and how is it manifested in such ones?.

remember also----the annointed are all virgin males ( sorry ladies )--each from the 12 tribes of Israel.
no--wait--i think that bit is symbolic---or is it literal-?----i cant remember. or maybe the whole thing is symbolic --including the number 144,000------which coincidentaly is 12,000 each from the 12 tribes of Israel. so its like another perfect number.. there ya go GB--sorted. new light time ?
hi can anyone tell me if it's true the society says parents must take their child to meetings until they're 16 even if they don't want to?
my ex is being a pain about me not forcing my 12 year old to be a witness.
he doesn't know i'm becoming inactive at moment so i have to be careful how i word things to him.
@ jrjw---you mention the house youre renting from some dubs---you have a contract. theres nothing in the contract to say you must be a dub to live there---is there ? in the UK a rental contract gives you a lot of rights as a tenant. dont let them try to force you into anything.
as regards your little boy--why not let your ex collect him and take him to his meetings ? i bet that would last maybe a whole week !

@jrjw....how old is your son ?
a load of j.w's in my family and the congregation i attend as a pimo have been saying the end is very close because the anglo american world superpower is clearly still the king of the south, and russia is now clearly king of the north due to persecuting and banning the religion there and seizing property.. i've forgot what the religion used to teach and maybe still does, about the timing of all this king of north + south stuff, the attack on all religion by the u.n and then the attack on j.w's who will be left standing.
i mean, i thought jehovah was going to put it into the u.n's minds to ban or attack all other religions, then the attack on j.w's, but witnesses seem to think the end is so, so close because russia has banned them.. it's sad, as some dubs i know have sold their homes and made other big decisions so they can pioneer in these 'very last of the last days'..
same shit..different day.
heard it all before--still got the tee shirt.

@jrjw---so your ex is still a dub--and you still go tom the same hall ?
the watchtower in the uk are expecting volunters in the uk to travel many 100s of miles for a days work either skilled or unskilled in the new bethel at chelmsford;from edinborough in scotland its almost a 800 mile roundtrip.
it does beg the question--"has anyone thought this all through " ? who really is directing this project ?--apart from jehovah i mean.
many members on here have been shunned.
we know whats its like--and the effect it has had on our lives.
but what about those of us who practiced shunning before--when we were members of the watchtower cult ?.
going back over 50 years..my pal's older brother was d/f for adultery, we had to shun him, he seemed to stay out for years.
the brother that conducted studies with my mum and dad--and seperately with me--as a kid.....also had a study with a young married couple his own age.. long story short--he ended up shagging the wife, both fessed up and were d/f for it. husband divorced the wife. they were shunned--but after a year were reinstated and married.
i dont think shunning made a scrap of difference. the first mentioned chap was putting it around--and going to casinos--smoking--living the high life. no intention of going back--not till years later
the adulterous couple merely served their time and were reinstated and welcomed back with open arms.

how did it make you feel ? bad ? good ? superior ? more " spiritual"?
do you think it did any good ? did the shunned person return to the cult as a result ?
or did it drive them further away--or permanently ?
do you really think it serves any positive purpose ?
